Sheila has lived in the 1000 islands all her life. Growing up on a farm helped develop her love of animals and this beautiful area of Ontario and her paintings reflect her experiences. Her usual method is working from her own photos. Sheila works in a variety of mediums but primarily oils. She has been painting for over 20 years, mostly self taught but has enjoyed college courses, workshops and private instruction. Sheila says that each piece is an expression of herself. Her hope is that it brings as much joy to its owner as she experienced creating it.
